Deck Cadet Thomas Edwards, has recently joined the RRS Sir David Attenborough with the British Antarctic Survey, one of the most advanced polar research ships in the world.
Thomas was able to experience this whilst studying at Fleetwood Nautical Campus, sponsored by CEMEX UK.
“Having passed all my Phase 3 modules, it’s time for the next challenge… Phase 4.
So far during this phase, I’ve worked onboard CEMEX UK‘s Sand Falcon, steaming around the East and South coasts of England, learning about the Marine Aggregate Hopper industry, and how often to screen for particular aggregates.
