Meet Shae Wallace, a Chiltern Maritime Deck Cadet studying at Warsash Maritime School sponsored by Scenic Cruises.
After joining the Scenic Eclipse, the world’s first Discovery Yacht for his first sea phase in May, Shae visited San Francisco, Seattle and Vancouver.
Here’s what he had to say before boarding the Scenic Eclipse…
“I would just like to highlight how grateful and impressed I have been with the team at Chiltern throughout my first stages of becoming a seafarer. I am new to this industry, yet the team has made me feel very welcome and comfortable. The continued support I’ve received has been fundamental to the start of my journey and success so far.”
And it doesn’t stop there!
We also managed to speak to Shae in August to check on his professional development and progression, and in just over two months he’s sailed from the US, all the way through Canada to Alaska, Japan, South Korea, and now the Aleutian Islands.
“It’s been a fascinating trip, and I cannot wait to see what the next couple of months has in stock, as we venture up to the North West Passage.”
