Deck Officer Cadet, Alex Mason, is sailing on board Windstar Cruises’ Star Legend and has been lucky enough to explore exciting destinations, including Iceland and Norway, as part of the itinerary.
Chiltern Maritime caught up with him to hear how his Deck Officer Cadetship is going so far…
“I would like to thank the amazing team at Chiltern Maritime, who organise and manage my sea time and study, and to Conway Merchant Navy Trust who sponsor me throughout my Cadetship.
My first time at sea on board Star Legend has been organised in a great way. I have been able to find my feet with life at sea, as well as develop a great understanding of each department and how the ship is ran on a day-to-day basis.
A special mention to the officers and crew on board, who are making this trip so special and continuously helping me expand my knowledge and progress through my training.
