Meet Abbi Hodge, a Chiltern Maritime Cadet who is currently studying onboard MSC Poesia, and sponsored by MSC Cruises.
“My time onboard MSC Poesia as a cadet has been a great and exciting experience. It has allowed me to grow my knowledge and develop as an individual in such a short space of time, learning practical and collaborative skills that can be applied to all careers and also everyday life.
Living away from home can be difficult, but throughout my time onboard I have never felt alone as everyone else was in the same “boat” and there was always someone who you could talk to. I really felt like I settled in well and became part of the MSC family.
It has been such an interesting experience as no two days are the same – sailing past icebergs and whales before breakfast certainly felt surreal! I would definitely recommend becoming a cadet with MSC as they have improved my nautical knowledge greatly and have such a great crew who want to help you succeed.”
