MSA Solent is now recruiting full-time and part-time personnel to support its new MSA Solent Simulation Centre in Portsmouth, UK
In July 2019, the Maritime Skills Academy (MSA), part of Viking Maritime Group, will open a new purpose-built, state-of-the-art Simulation Centre in the harmonious setting of the Lakeside North Harbour business hub located in the Solent region near Portsmouth, UK (www.lakesidenorthharbour.com).
MSA Solent (https://www.maritimeskillsacademy.com/solent/) will provide specialist Bridge and Engine simulation courses (e.g. BRM, ERM, ECDIS, High Voltage, Ship Handling etc.) and other management-level programmes, primarily in support of the cruise, ferry and superyacht industries.
We are now seeking to recruit full-time and part-time staff on competitive remuneration packages for the new MSA Solent, including the following positions
Senior Instructor (Bridge Simulation) – Full Time
You will possess a UK MCA Master Unlimited Certificate of Competency as a minimum and must also have had appropriate seagoing experience within the Cruise sector. Previous instructional experience is also desirable for this role.
Senior Instructor (Engine Simulation) – Full Time
You will possess a UK MCA Chief Engineer Certificate of Competency as a minimum and must also have had appropriate seagoing experience within the Cruise sector. Previous instructional experience is also desirable for this role.
Senior Simulation Technician – Full Time
You will possess appropriate qualifications in electronic engineering or computer science, while technical qualifications in marine electronic equipment are desirable. Previous experience with the maintenance and operation of marine simulators is essential.
Associate Instructors/Technicians – Part Time
We are also looking to recruit a number of part-time staff based in the Solent region for the following roles:
- Associate Instructor (Bridge Simulation)
- Associate Instructor (Engine Simulation)
- Associate Simulation Technician
